looking past Presidents Day weekend.
With one of the busiest weekends in the Speculator area in quite a few years behind us, the trails are getting back in shape. Base is solid, about 5 inches of powder fell on the 18th. The groomers have been out putting things back in shape. The weather looks to warm up a bit this weekend but the cold will be returning next week. All trails in the DRAG territory are open with good to excellent coverage. Please yield to the Groomers, they have 100% the right of way. Pull off the trail and Do not pass unless you are clearly waved on by the operator.
We are ready for this week's snow!
With the rain behind us now, our grooming team was able to make it out Friday and Saturday evenings. We are trying to get ready for the snow that is forecasted to come this week. Paul, Mike S., Jinny, Jake, and Gary were all able to hit the trails.
Jake and Jinny hit Page Street, Paul hit the Tree Farm, Mike Fixed the Viking and hit the Village and the River trail, and Gary hit the trail from Oak to Perkins.
Let's keep our fingers crossed we get some more white fluffy stuff soon!
Rain rain go away.
With the warm temps and rain we lost a good layer. The base is still good but hard and icy. The cold temps will be back Saturday but that will just freeze everyhing up hard. No lube or cooling. Because of the warm temps there has been no grooming since last weekend. Think snow!
